Sewing Machine Operator

 

A Sewing Machine Operator, also called a ‘Stitches or Machinist’ is an important job role associated with Apparel sector. The primary responsibility of a machinist is to stitch/ sew fabric, fur, or synthetic materials to produce apparel.

Food & Beverage Service – Steward

 

The role involves serving food and beverages to guests of the hotel, restaurant or banquet function. It entails greeting and seating of guests, taking down their orders, providing them with requisite tableware, food & beverage items, and any other related accompaniments and then clearing used dishes & settling the customer’s accounts as per procedures.

Training Process

  • Prior to the initiation of training, ground-level mobilization is done by our team to identify students eligible in terms of age (18 to 35), Qualification (10th and above) and Aptitude for training.
  • Mobilization is accompanied by counseling wherein we provide candidates all possible information on the nature of work in the sector/trade, availability of jobs, potential pay and entitlements, growth prospects and risks involved, with the aim of helping candidates and their families make informed choices.
  • Registration of trainees must be linked to their Aadhar identity
  • Research is done to determine youth aspirations towards migration for placement etc
  • MoUs & tie-ups with reputed employers in Jharkhand and other states for placement are already done by VFRES.
  • After selecting candidates for training VFRES provides a conditional offer letter stating an assured placement after successful completion of training.
  • VFRES Mega Skill Training center at Mandar is established in Approx. 50,000 Sq. Ft. with a residential facility.
  • A separate hostel for girls & boys with all amenities within the campus is established.
  • The training curriculum has mandatory modules on soft skills including career counseling, computer literacy, financial literacy and entrepreneurship
  • Persons deployed as trainers are competent instructors in possession of requisite knowledge, skills and experience in their domain.
  • An independent assessment of trainees by a third-party agency authorized by the relevant Sector Skill Council is mandatory for all skill training provided under the Scheme.
  • After the assessment, each successful candidate will be awarded a certificate issued by the Certifying Agency.
  • Along with providing wage employment to the beneficiaries, self-employment shall also be considered under the Project.
